Carpe diem is an intra collegiate legal and cultural fest organized by the Kristu Jayanti college of law. This is one of the unique fests conducted by our college. It is a platform where students show case their talents in various events such as legal quiz, bare act interpretation, legal debate, client counseling, moot court, dance, singing, turn coat and drama.
The main objective of conducting this fest is to encourage the students and to help them have an experience of debating and engaging with clients. All the students who participated in the activities learnt essential life skills, which hold great importance in the world outside of law school. Participating in all of these events also gave an exposure to the students which would definitely give them an edge over their counterparts in competitions and real life experiences. Participating in legal quiz also helped the students to familiarize with the latest developments happening in the field of law, while participating in moot courts helped the students to make memorials for their clients, this step will be extremely beneficial for them as they will be required to prepare similar memorials when they represent their clients in the Court of law. Turn coat also helped the students to be fully aware of the topic that they were speaking about because after a scheduled period of time they were required to switch sides and argue from the second point of view. All of these events were so designed to help the students to apply what all they learn in their books into practice.
